Mario’s Studio, downstairs at Footscray Community Arts
Saturday 18th March, 1pm – 3pm
Come and create a persian inspired carpet out of hama beads with artist Kate Robinson.
Hama beads are a staple of many of our childhoods. This workshop is inspired by our current Mario’s studio exhibition زندگی Zendegi. In creating the works, Kate has embraced the world of patterns and sparkles that she loved so much as a child, and so it is only fitting that the workshop will be a return to childhood crafting. Kate has designed a template for the carpet and participants will be invited to come and add their creative flair to the project by creating sections of the carpet.
All materials will be provided. No artistic experience necessary. This workshop is aimed at both adults and children, we encourage families to book in and make artwork together!
